EvalXchange 2026: Evaluating together in a changing world

Online

The World Food Programme's Office of Evaluation will again host the annual #EvalXchange series.

Central theme this year is: Evaluating Together in a Changing World

WFP and partners are operating in more interconnected, resource constrained and rapidly evolving environments while crises are escalating. In the context of #UN80,    collaboration, joint work and shared evidence are therefore critical.

The 1st Session will take a look at why we evaluate jointly with governments, UN agencies and other partners in countries such as Ghana, Malawi and Bangladesh. We’ll also unpack new partnerships like the WFP–OCHA agreement on anticipatory action, showing how shared evidence portfolios can reduce duplication, save costs and provide a clearer picture of multi-actor responses.

The 2nd session will explore practical modalities through which we design and implement collaborative and joint evaluations. The session examines the spectrum of joint work, from lighter forms of coordination to fully joint evaluations, drawing on concrete examples.

The 3rd session we will take a closer look at the benefits and challenges of joint evaluation capacity development, sharing examples of collaboration between organizations with different mandates and evaluation delivery models.

On the event website, you can find the details and register for the three online sessions on:
