I did my PhD (Horticulture) Postharvest Physiology at Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia and studied the effects of two new ethylene antagonist compounds under different storage conditions to reduce postharvest losses. I won 2016 - International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) and Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) through merit-based international competition to pursue my PhD. Voluntarily serving as Board of Director for 'The Postharvest Education Foundation', a non-profit organisation committed to reducing global postharvest losses. Completed my graduation with Horticulture as specialisation from Dr Y.S.R. Horticultural University, Andhra Pradesh (India) and was top scorer in the college. My postgraduate research was on fruit and vegetable processing and awarded 'University Gold Medal' for being top scorer in university at S.K. Rajasthan Agricultural University, Rajasthan (India). Well-versed and experienced in production and postharvest aspects of horticulture crops of different climatic zones. Well acquainted with both laboratory and field level experiments. Well-versed, can calibrate, use and maintain all postharvest lab equipment including Gas Chromatography, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography, Colorflex, Texture Analyser, Spectrophotometers. I worked as 'Horticulture Officer' in the Government of Andhra Pradesh (India) with duties as field consultant and extension worker in both rural and urban areas, with main job objective to enhance quality horticulture production. I regularly participate in online technical discussions, related to postharvest management of horticulture crops, sustainable agriculture, food loss and waste reduction etc. through social networking sites and blogs.
