In my current role as a research analyst with the United Nations Development Programme in New York, I conduct mixed-methods research and data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of country programs at UNDP. This position requires a deep understanding of policy impacts and the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights. Thanks to my work at the IOM’s Regional Data Hub in Costa Rica as both an intern and consultant further sharpened my policy and data analysis skills, where I utilized R for data operations, culminating in my role training staff to enhance response capabilities to migration issues. My recent internship at the Migration Policy Institute in their Latin American and Caribbean Initiative demanded adaptability and the ability to juggle multiple tasks, where I aim to leverage my experience in working with diverse data sources to support evidence-based decision-making.
