I am a researcher and strategic thinker in agricultural innovation. I help organisations to identify practical change processes aligned with farming realities by designing, advising and reviewing strategies to:
- engage farmers and scientists
- harness their different knowledge
- bridge diverse agricultural parties
- investigate socio-technical gaps (people and technological processes)
My expertise builds from utilizing qualitative and quantitative methodologies in contrasted RD&E environments, in both subsistence and broadacre agriculture, and across agronomy and the social sciences.
I have worked in Australian universities, international development agencies, and French research institutes. My credentials include:
- EU Marie Curie research and innovation fellowship
- PhD in Agricultural Systems, University of Western Australia
- MSc in Agricultural Development, AgroParisTech, France
I am also a founder of www.GOFEN.org, the Global Network for farmer-centric On-Farm Experimentation to support change through the co-production of knowledge.
