Evaluation Consultant

I am an applied social researcher, evaluator, and part-time lecturer with over 15 years of experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), focused on agriculture, food security, environment, and rural development in Sub-Saharan Africa. My practice is grounded in theory-driven, participatory, and gender-responsive approaches to evaluation.

As Chief Association Executive of the Tanzania Evaluation Association (TanEA), I lead national efforts to professionalize and advocate for stronger M&E systems. This includes fostering strategic partnerships, promoting digital innovation, and building a culture of evidence-based decision-making across sectors.

My consulting experience spans organizations such as the World Bank, CARE International, Land O’Lakes, and Gatsby Africa, where I have led complex evaluations of multi-year, multi-stakeholder programs in agriculture and skills development. I integrate behavioral insights, equity perspectives, and methodological rigor to deliver evaluations that influence policy and practice.

In my academic role at DUCE, I teach two postgraduate courses for MA Development Evaluation students: Paradigms and Approaches to Development Evaluation and Communication and Reporting Skills for Evaluators, combining theoretical foundations with applied evaluation practice.

I am passionate about advancing evaluations that drive transformation at the nexus of human well-being and environmental sustainability.
