Economist with a master’s degree in Development Studies and over 25 years of experience in socioeconomic development, environmental management, and climate change. Extensive expertise in socio-economic and environmental assessments, including stakeholder mapping, indigenous peoples engagement, gender mainstreaming and monitoring and evaluation. Comprehensive knowledge of the socioeconomic effects of projects in diverse sectors including mining, forest and water resources. Experienced in working with multi-disciplinary teams and facilitating participatory processes in multicultural contexts, with a strong track record in Bolivia and the Amazon region. Experience working with government agencies, multilateral and bilateral organizations, NGOs, and the private sector. Proficient in Spanish and English and German, capable to contribute to draft reports.
- Conducted evaluations of international cooperation programs for organizations such as FAO (Strategic Review of the Country Programming Framework MPP, Technical Cooperation Programme TCP) and the Embassy of Denmark (Periodic evaluations), ensuring compliance with social and environmental standards and addressing cross cutting themes such as gender, youth and indigenous populations’ rights.
- Assessed projects and programs focused on disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation and sustainable forest management for COSUDE (Performance evaluation of the Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC) in Disaster Risk Reduction, Peru/Bolivia); Programmes of civil society organisations: Oxfam, Swedish Society for the Protection of Nature SSPN, Forests of the World, CARITAS, amongst others.
