Andy Frost is a Professor of Agri-food Systems Innovation and the Head of the Food and Markets Department at the Natural Resources Institute of the University of Greenwich. Andy has a keen interest in seeing research get into use at scale for the benefit of the poor. He has nearly thirty years’ experience in research and consultancy programme/project management, development of research strategies and undertaking process evaluations. Andy gained his PhD from the University of Aberdeen and also holds an MBA from Henley Management College.

  • Innovations can take different forms, including technological (probably the most obvious), organizational, business, social and policy. They also can involve overarching systems. This understanding is critically important when evaluating innovation. Business innovations can have a profound impact on low-income populations, sometimes referred to as Base of Pyramid (BoP) populations.
