Power BI Consultant
UK-Ghana Jobs and Economic Transformation (JET) Programme, FCDO & Palladium
November 2024-March 2025
Supported the £12 million UK-funded JET Programme, which aims to promote inclusive economic growth and industrialisation in Ghana. The programme targets five strategic sectors: Automotive, Pharmaceuticals, Textiles and Garments, Agro-processing, and Light Manufacturing.
Main Achievements:
- Conducted a comprehensive review of the existing MEL tracker, tools, and dashboard to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Designed and configured a dynamic Power BI dashboard integrated with the MEL tracker and consolidated reporting documents, enhancing real-time program monitoring and performance tracking.
- Delivered targeted training sessions for program staff, strengthening internal capacity to use the MEL system and Power BI dashboard for evidence-based decision-making and adaptive program management.
Evaluation Consultant Analyst
CGIAR | Independent Advisory and Evaluation Service (IAES) September 2023 – November 2024
Served as Functional Lead for the evaluation of CGIAR’s Genetic Innovation Science Group, commissioned by IAES. Provided technical and operational leadership for the evaluation,
with responsibility for coordinating fieldwork across multiple countries, ensuring adherence to IAES evaluation protocols and reporting format, facilitating stakeholder engagement and consultations, supporting data collection and analysis using qualitative and quantitative
research methods, and contributing to data interpretation, synthesis of evidence, and drafting of evaluation reports and recommendations. Managed a core team of four
evaluators and coordinated inputs from three subject matter experts from Germany, the USA, and UK.
Main Achievements:
- Conducted a scoping mission with the Senior Evaluation Manager of IAES to ILRI in Nairobi to engage stakeholders and gather their input for the evaluation of the three Science Groups: Genetic Innovation, Resilient Agrifood Systems, and Systems Transformation.
- Supported the drafting of the inception report for the Genetic Innovation Science Group Evaluation
- Led the development of the stakeholder survey for the evaluation and converted it into a digital format using SurveyMonkey for data collection.
- Conducted field missions to Ghana with two subject matter experts, and subsequently to Kenya with two additional subject matter experts and the Evaluation Function Lead of IAES, to carry out in-person interviews. Across both missions, data was collected from over 60 stakeholders.
- Produced detailed notes for each interview, along with full transcriptions to support analysis and reporting.
- Led the analysis of interview data using MAXQDA for qualitative coding and Jamovi for quantitative analysis.
- Led the development of CGIAR’s Africa Brief, a knowledge product summarizing key findings from the evaluations of the three Science Groups, and supported its presentation to governance stakeholders.
- Led the post-evaluation response process for the Genetic Innovation evaluation, including compiling the management response
Evaluator
IOM – UN Migration | Asia-Pacific Regional Office June 2022 – August 2022
Led the final independent evaluation of IOM’s multi-phase Document Support Centre Initiative across the Asia-Pacific. Responsible for the full scope of the evaluation, from responding to the RFP and developing the inception report to conducting interviews and delivering a final report.
Main Achievements:
- Produced an inception report that provided a robust evaluation framework, guiding all subsequent stages and earning endorsement from IOM regional leadership.
- Designed and deployed a digital survey using KoboCollect, streamlining data collection across diverse country contexts.
- Collected and triangulated evidence from over 30 stakeholders through interviews and desk review, ensuring a well-rounded assessment of program effectiveness.
- Applied OECD-DAC criteria to deliver actionable findings and practical recommendations for improving document support services in the region.
- Led the drafting and dissemination of the final evaluation report, which was presented and validated during a stakeholder workshop, contributing to the redesign and scaling of the initiative’s next phase.
Co-Evaluator (Ghana)
Madiba Consult (GIZ Pan-African E-Commerce Initiative) June 2023 – March 2024
Supported the Lead Evaluator in conducting an independent evaluation of the BMZ-funded Pan-African E-Commerce Initiative in Ghana. The evaluation employed contribution analysis and was guided by the OECD-DAC criteria. Contributed to all phases of the country-level evaluation, including inception reporting, fieldwork, analysis, and dissemination.
Main Achievements:
- Contributed to the Ghana section of the inception report, aligning country-specific questions with the regional evaluation framework and contribution analysis methodology.
- Facilitated over 25 stakeholder interviews and focus group discussions across government, private sector, and development partners.
- Supported the analysis of qualitative data using NVivo, generating evidence to assess program relevance, coherence, effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Assisted in drafting the Ghana national evaluation report and contributed to the co-authoring of the regional synthesis report.
- Supported the presentation of evaluation findings at a stakeholder validation workshop with GIZ leadership, helping to inform future programming on digital trade and SME development in Africa.
MEL Consultant
Sabon Sake – Renewing the Earth Initiative June 2023 – September 2023
Provided strategic MERL support to Sabon Sake, a clean-tech initiative focused on
regenerative agriculture and carbon capture solutions. Led the development of the MERL framework, aligned measurement tools to project outcomes, and advised on integrating scientific evidence and real-time feedback into adaptive program management.
Main Achievements:
- Conducted an organizational needs assessment and operational model review.
- Developed a results framework and indicators to assess impact in regenerative agriculture.
- Designed and implemented real-time data collection systems and digital monitoring tools.
- Analyzed stakeholder performance data to inform continuous program learning.
- Produced a comprehensive MEL report for internal learning and donor engagement.
MEL Trainer
Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) April 2023 – December 2023
Engaged as a global MEL training consultant to design and deliver tailored monitoring, evaluation, and learning content for over 1,200 civil society organisations involved in cancer control across 170 countries. Training materials were adapted and translated into Spanish and French to support global reach and accessibility.
Main Achievements:
- Developed and produced practitioner-focused MEL video lessons and downloadable evaluation tools to support application in diverse contexts.
- Delivered interactive, multilingual training sessions that strengthened MEL capacity across UICC’s global civil society network.
- Contributed to improved MEL practices among participating organizations by emphasizing practical, outcomes-based approaches aligned with real-world program implementation.
Data Analyst Consultant
Invest in Africa (Mastercard Foundation SME Program) January 2021 – March 2021
Served as a short-term MEL consultant supporting the Mastercard Foundation’s SME resilience program across Ghana, Senegal, and Kenya. Focused on data cleaning, analysis, and synthesis to enhance program learning and reporting.

MERL Tech (USA) & Data Innovators (SA) March 2022 – July 2022
Led the Ghana component of a regional study mapping African-led digital monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) innovations. Oversaw the full research process-from design and stakeholder engagement to field coordination, analysis, and reporting.
Main Achievements:
- Produced a detailed Ghana country profile highlighting local innovation trends, actors, and use cases in digital MEL solutions.
- Conducted stakeholder interviews and synthesised findings to generate actionable insights for the broader regional analysis.
- Contributed to the regional synthesis report submitted to the Mastercard Foundation and its partners to inform future investment in African-grown MEL technologies.
