Emem Bassey Inyang is a multidisciplinary developmental evaluator, researcher, and lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development at the University of Uyo, Nigeria. With over 15 years of experience, his work spans agricultural extension, socio-economic, ecological  and development policy evaluation.

He holds an MSc in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, an M.Ed, and a Ph.D. in Educational Evaluation from the University of Ibadan. His expertise includes developmental programme evaluation, climate-smart agriculture, ecological risk assessment, and strategic communication.

Emem Inyang has consulted for various individuals, national and international organizations, including IFAD and NDDC Assisted Project, Statistics Without Borders projects, and the World Bank–assisted FADAMA III project. His consultancy focuses on programme design and management; Measurement, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning; youth development, and gender-based policy research.

He has authored more than 70 scholarly publications and is a member of professional bodies such as AESON, the African Gender and Development Evaluation Network, the Canadian Evaluation Society, and NONIE. His work is recognised for its depth in mixed-method evaluations and participatory development approaches, contributing significantly to academic research, capacity building, and policy impact in Nigeria and beyond.
