I was born and bred in KwaZulu Natal (KZN), Bergville – Zwelisha Location, where he started lower education and further went on to complete his high school education in the northern KZN at Ulundi – James Nxumalo Agricultural High School.
Academic background includes: Rural Resources Management Diploma, Agriculture Bachelor’s Degree (University of KwaZulu Natal); Postgraduate Diploma in Food Security (University of KwaZulu Natal) and a Masters in Sustainable Agriculture (University of Free State).
He worked for the following institutions since year 2002: University of KwaZulu Natal - Farmers Support Group (NGO); World Vision South Africa - Community Development; and National Department of Agriculture - Food Security Directorate.
I currently works for the National Department of Social Development (DSD) in the Community Development Branch responsible for the Food and Nutrition Security Coordination Directorate. My professional interest are on agriculture, sustainable livelihoods, community development, food and nutrition security and M&E.
