Evaluation Specialist

Valerie Munyeti is an accomplished monitoring, evaluation, and reporting specialist with over 18 years of experience in gender, health, humanitarian work, children's governance, environment, climate change, conflict management, and peacebuilding. Valerie has collaborated with several United Nations agencies, international non-governmental organizations, and civil societies, working closely with various public institutions both locally and internationally. Currently, she serves as an Evaluation Specialist at the World Food Programme, Eastern and Southern Africa Region. Previously, Valerie was a Monitoring Specialist at UNICEF's Eastern and Southern Africa Region, supporting 21 African countries. She has worked as an Evaluation Focal Point for various agencies, managing or overseeing more than 25 evaluations. Additionally, she provided M&E support to the UNDP Afghanistan Country Office, overseeing aspects of M&E and especially reporting. Valerie's expertise in evaluations has been honed through close collaboration with other UN agencies and in-country development partners. She represented UNDP Kenya at the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Advisory Group for the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office. Her educational background and professional experience with the United Nations and other international organizations have given her a comprehensive view of development and a passion for achieving results. Valerie also has hands-on experience managing public-private partnerships and has contributed to the preparation of policy documents and guidelines at various levels
