EvalforEarth 2026 International Women’s Day Panel discussion : “Give to Gain: Advancing Gender-Responsive and Inclusive Evaluation”

This panel brings together women evaluators and practitioners from EvalforEarth CoP to celebrate 2026 International Women’s Day by sharing experiences, insights, and strategies for advancing gender-responsive, inclusive, and evidence-informed evaluation. The discussion will highlight practical examples across food security, environment, agriculture, and rural development, strengthen intergenerational and regional knowledge exchange, and inspire participants to integrate gender equality, human rights, and LNOB principles into their evaluation practice.

Objectives

  1. Celebrate International Women’s Day by highlighting the work of women evaluators and practitioners in promoting gender-responsive, inclusive, and evidence-informed development.
  2. The panel will share insights, lessons, and strategies to advance gender equality and LNOB (Leave No One Behind) in evaluation practice.
  3. The discussion will align with EvalforEarth’s mission to strengthen capacity, share evaluation practices, and facilitate collaboration in evidence-informed decision making across its thematic areas of food security, environment, agriculture, and rural development.

Expected Outcomes

  • Increased awareness and knowledge of practical applications of gender-responsive and inclusive evaluation approaches in food security, environment, agriculture, and rural development contexts.
  • Strengthened cross-regional and intergenerational collaboration and knowledge exchange within the Community of Practice (CoP).
  • Enhanced commitment and capacity among participants to systematically integrate gender equality, human rights, and Leave No One Behind (LNOB) principles into evaluation design, implementation, and use in relevant sectors.
