Dr Akolade Oladipupo works as a Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) Coordinator at LEAP Africa. With extensive experience in MERL, Akolade excels in designing and implementing robust MERL frameworks that enhance project accountability, learning, and evidence-based decision-making. He brings a wealth of expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, data tool design, and analysis, making him adept at transforming complex data into actionable insights. Akolade's background includes leading continuous improvement initiatives and serving on high-level teams that provided technical expertise on projects, evaluations and policy development for reputable organizations like the Mastercard Foundation, Impact Investors Foundation, National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), and Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Health. At LEAP Africa, Akolade leverages his deep knowledge in research and quality assurance/quality control to drive effective project delivery and evaluation. Akolade holds a PhD and a Master's degree from the University of Lagos, achieving a perfect CGPA of 5.0. He has received multiple postgraduate scholarships and served as a Research Fellow at the University of Lagos and Nelson Mandela University. His research has resulted in over a dozen publications and more than 100 citations in peer-reviewed journals.
