Binh possesses 20+ years of experience. Binh holds a PhD that focused on forest governance and grassroots civil society organisations. She has thematic and MEL expertise in good governance, social inclusion, sustainable livelihoods, and strengthening civil society capacity and participation in decision making processes. Her expertise and interest lay in the areas of climate adaption and mitigation including community based forest management, payments for ecosystem services, REDD+ and FLEGT; climate resilience,. She is also skilled in developing Theories of Change and designing Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning frameworks. Binh has also led teams to evaluate behaviour change, organisational strengthening, and policy advocacy at different levels. For example, she conducted a policy review on behaviour and policy change for companies and governments involved in forest and forest risk commodities for FCDO’s Forest Governance Market and Climate programme (FGMC), working in both consumer and producer countries. Recently, she evaluated Swedish Society for Nature and Conservation’s Strategic Plan and CorpsAfrica’s Strategic Plan, both promoted community-led interventions to protect the environment and community resilience in Africa. Currently, Binh is Southeast Asia MEL Lead for Climate Adaptation for Resilience Asia Programme and Advisor for INAFOLU in Indonesia.
