As a Climate Change and Environmental  Economics and Policy Expert, I have led and contributed to national and subnational adaptation initiatives across Asia, including the formulation of  Local Adaptation Plans of Action (LAPA),  the design of Climate Change Financing Frameworks (CCFFs) in federal and local levels. My expertise spans  programme designing, evaluation, monitoring and assessment,  investment pipeline design, and integration of climate risk into public financial management.

I have involved for  project design for  the Green Climate Fund (GCF), Adaptation Fund (AF), and LDCF, and provided technical guidance to mainstream climate adaptation in agriculture, water resources, conservation, green infrastructure, and value chains. My experience also includes facilitating stakeholder consultations, participatory planning workshops, and multi-stakeholder dialogues—essential for building ownership and alignment in sensitive, post-conflict, and institutionally fragile environments.

My work has often been in post-conflict and vulnerable contexts, where I have delivered adaptation and resilience strategies through inclusive approaches that engage government ministries, civil society, and development partners.

I hold advanced qualifications in environmental economics and development planning and meet all educational requirements for the position. I also bring:

  • Over 20 years of relevant experience in climate policy, natural resource and environmental economics, project design, preparing investment plan and implementation.
  • Extensive expertise in climate adaptation and disaster risk management, including shaping policy frameworks and designing investment strategies.
  • Capacity-building experience with governments and communities across Asia, with direct engagement in institutional strengthening and participatory approaches.
  • Familiarity with international climate finance mechanisms (GCF, AF etc) and collaboration with multilateral development banks, UN agencies such FAO, UNDP and WFP , and international organizations.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with a track record of producing high-quality technical reports and facilitating consultations at community, ministerial, and regional levels.
