I have a Ph.D. in Agriculture (Plant Breeding), an MSc in Agronomy and Plant Breeding, a BSc in Agriculture (Crop Science), and a Diploma in Agriculture. I am also a certified carbon management Leader (Chartered). I have over 20 years of practical regional experience in agricultural research and development, seed systems, regional policy harmonization, and climate-smart agriculture. I worked for the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) as an Agronomist and for the International Centre for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) as a Programme Technical Officer for Plant breeding and seed systems. I currently work for the Centre for Coordination of Agricultural Research and Development for Southern Africa (CCARDESA) as a Special Programmes Coordinator (SADC Soil Health and Fertilizer), supporting the domestication and harmonization of the African Union Fertilizer and Soil Health Action Plan amongst the SADC Member States.
