Claudia Martínez Mansell is a humanitarian and development specialist with more than two decades of experience spanning emergency operations, resilience programming, evaluation and research across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe. Her career has included field and headquarters assignments with FAO and independent consulting work in countries affected by conflict, displacement and climate-related crises, including Sudan, Yemen, South Sudan, Lebanon, Myanmar and the Kyrgyz Republic.

Claudia has led and managed complex evaluations on food security, livelihoods, resilience, forced displacement, and climate change, combining mixed-methods research with participatory and field-grounded approaches. She co-authored FAO’s first corporate evaluation of its work on the humanitarian–development–peace nexus and, more recently, co-led the FAO Programme Assessment of the Ukraine Emergency Response (2022–2024), the first slide-document assessment produced by the organization.

Alongside her policy and evaluation work, Claudia is the founder of Kissweh, a Lebanon-based social enterprise creating sustainable livelihoods opportunities for Palestinian refugee women through contemporary design rooted in traditional embroidery practices.
