I am a chartered civil engineer with a working background in consulting, construction, and planning. I have worked in Sri Lanka, Brunei, Singapore, and Australia. My interests are in promoting food, water, energy sufficiency, private-public partnerships, and enhancing the co-operative movement as an income redistribution in developing nations, values-based education, to name a few.
I have been involved in community work through the Sathya Sai Organisation and the Rotary Club in Singapore, Australia, and Sri Lanka, focused on food for the needy, rural water supply, and education.
Currently, I mentor young engineers in Australia and train local government engineers. I am also chairing a joint committee of Sri Lankan and Australian engineers for Lanslide risk mitigation in Sri Lanka
